Hospital Flooring FAQs
What flooring is used in hospitals?+
Hospital flooring is predominantly homogeneous or heterogeneous vinyl sheet, which can be heat-welded to create seamless, infection-control compliant surfaces. Safety vinyl with R10–R12 slip ratings is used in wet areas. Entrance matting systems control soil ingress.
Can you install flooring in a live hospital environment?+
Yes — it's one of our specialisations. We work in active hospital wards, ED areas, and corridors during agreed out-of-hours windows, following infection control procedures including dust suppression and barrier systems.
What brands do you use for hospital flooring?+
We work with Polyflor, Altro, Tarkett, and other commercial brands specified by healthcare clients. All products we install in healthcare settings meet relevant Australian standards for slip resistance and hygiene.
Do you provide infection control documentation?+
Yes. We can provide infection control risk assessments (ICRA) and documentation required by healthcare clients. Our team is trained in infection control procedures for healthcare environments.
Can you match existing hospital flooring?+
In many cases, yes. We maintain relationships with major commercial flooring distributors and can often source matching products for refurbishment projects. Colour and product matching is discussed at the measure stage.
